Preservation routes & packaging boundaries

Choose the finished recipe, package and distribution condition together. Then assign the treatment, filling and validation responsibilities.

Frozen product

Assess the effects of freezing, storage and thawing on the actual puree or particle recipe. Define the intended pack, cold-chain capacity and thawed handling instructions through the product validation process. Freezing does not establish a general safety or shelf-life guarantee.

Chilled product

Refrigeration is one control within a validated system. Recipe, preparation hygiene, any treatment, package integrity and distribution conditions must be considered together. Do not assign a number of shelf-life days from temperature alone.

Thermal processing assessment

Avocado quality can be sensitive to temperature history. Evaluate treatment feasibility against colour, flavour, viscosity and texture, and validate the appropriate process for the product and pack. A smooth product and a particle product do not automatically share the same treatment setting.

External high-pressure processing

HPP can be considered as a third-party post-packaging interface. Confirm the processor’s acceptance criteria, packaging compatibility, logistics, validation and release responsibilities. No HPP machine is represented as a verified supplied product on this site.

Keep the sequence explicit

Show where the product is filled, treated, cooled or frozen and stored. Identify the controlled boundary after treatment and the response to an interrupted batch. Assign package supply, seals, utilities and validation to named parties in the project scope.
