Map output over a complete shift
Record accepted flesh, mixed batches and filled packs with stoppages and cleaning time. Compare actual output at each boundary. A preparation machine running at a high instantaneous rate may still wait for a mixer or filler during the rest of the shift.
Locate where quality changes
Compare reference samples after preparation, texture setting, mixing and transfer. If pieces disappear after pumping, a new cutter may not solve the problem. If air enters near an empty vessel, a larger upstream machine may create more holding without improving colour.
Match the upgrade to the bottleneck
Possible changes include a better inspection arrangement, an additional working batch vessel, a revised product-transfer path or a package changeover improvement. Check existing connections, controls and cleaning duties before choosing a new module.
Define retained and new equipment
Provide a layout, existing machine details and the intended production target. Identify which modules remain, their operating limits and the new supplier’s interfaces. Assess the combined line with the actual product rather than only testing the replacement machine in isolation.
