The duty
What this machine does.
Filling is the last chance to protect texture and the first place where package integrity is established. Avocado puree is viscous and can string or smear across a seal area; guacamole may contain particles that block a narrow nozzle. The filler should be selected with the actual pack, product temperature and downstream treatment, not as a standalone dosing head.
Working arrangement
How it is built.
A hygienic dosing system with a product hopper or direct feed, valves or pumps, a filling nozzle and package handling. Bulk bag, drum, pouch and cup formats need different support, sealing and weighing arrangements. Cleanability of the product path and access to the seal area are part of the design.
Operating sequence
- 01
The product path and filler are primed.
- 02
The dosing system fills the package to the target weight.
- 03
The seal area is checked and the package is closed.
- 04
Filled packs transfer to treatment, cooling, freezing or storage.

Selection essentials
Choose it for the actual duty.
- Pack material, format, fill weight and closure
- Product temperature, viscosity and largest particle
- Fill accuracy and product left on the seal area
- Sequence of filling, treatment, cooling and storage
- Change parts and cleaning time between packs
Specification
What the quotation must state.
| Model | Project-configured; no fixed catalogue model is published |
|---|---|
| Planning band | 200–2,000 kg/h, depending on pack size and dosing method |
| Pack formats | Bulk bag, drum, pouch, cup or other format agreed with the buyer |
| Construction | Stainless-steel contact parts; grade confirmed in the quotation |
| Dosing | Volumetric, mass-flow or servo-driven, selected for accuracy and product |
| Options | Weighing, seal verification, CIP, inert gas, metal detection, conveyor |
Capacity bands are for project planning. Final model, motor rating, dimensions, utilities and acceptance conditions are confirmed on the approved quotation and drawings. No catalogue model is implied where none is published.
Cleaning
Cleaning & maintenance.
Include hoses, valves, nozzles and the hopper in the cleaning plan. Inspect seals and change parts during changeover. Confirm that product residue cannot remain in a dead end or on the sealing surface.
Interfaces
Upstream & downstream.
Upstream pump and holding; downstream sealer, treatment, cooling, freezing or cold store; CIP and drain.
Technical FAQ
Questions buyers ask.
Can one filler run bulk and retail packs?
Sometimes, with change parts and a different package handling system, but the formats often need different dosing and sealing. Compare changeover time, accuracy and cleaning before assuming one machine covers both.
What fill accuracy should I specify?
The acceptable tolerance depends on pack size, product value and local labeling rules. State the target fill weight and the permitted range, then test with the actual product temperature and viscosity.
Does the filler need to be HPP-compatible?
The package, not only the filler, must suit the selected process. If external HPP is planned, confirm package compatibility and the processor's requirements before finalizing the filling and sealing arrangement.
